    Jen,

    Hey, I don’t know if you remember me….I am Emilee (Wagner) Wertz, from the good ole Thunder days! I just came across your facebook page which led me to this website where I got to see pics of your beautiful family. I just wanted to let you know that your son’s story has touched my heart as well as your family’s strength. I just lost my brother a month ago to colon CA and my dad has just been diagnosed with CA two weeks ago. It is amazing the new perspective that an experience such as this has given to my faith and my ever growing relationship with the Lord. It is encouraging to hear your son’s story and read about the your steadfast and unwavering faith in the Lord who, after all, is STILL Lord of all! Just wanted to let you know I will keep your family in my prayers. It is great to see/hear of you, and congratulations on your beautiful family!!!

    God Bless, Emilee Wertz

    Drew & Sodestrom Family,

    Drew its been quite a long time since high school. I was informed by a friend on facebook of your family’s courageous story. You have a beautiful family and my thoughts and healthful wishes are with each and everyone one of you. Drew you may or may not remember I had a best friend at Maria Carillo who very courageously battled cancer on and off from the time she was 2 years old. Her courage, strength and love for her family, life and God were so inspiring, and just from the content on this site, I can see Brayden has so much of all of that beaming from that brave little body. Once someone asked me if I had any superpower what it would be and I said ” I wish I had the power to heal.” We all have that power through prayer and mine are with you and your lovely family. I will continue to check in as Brayden has touched my heart. (Drew-good job on picking a Jen) God Bless!

  4. Hello Jennifer and Drew,
    Jeff and I read Braydens story and he and your family are in our prayers. We will give his name to our sister in Texas for her church to pray for him also. Children are Gods little flowers and their to blossom in the world and that’s what Brayden is and will do. He is a fighter just like his mother was in sports and school. You both hang tough you]re in our thoughts. I saw you on Lindseys facebook take care Jen. You have a beautiful family.
    love Jeff and Debbie Brown <(redding ca)

  8. Julie Hunt Johnson says:

    Sweet Drew, Jen, Brayden & Carson,
    In the past few days, having to face new health issues, I find my greatest burden to pray about is Brayden & your family. I knelt in our family room the other night after hearing the news of my own possible mass, tumor or whatever you want to call it…I found a wonderful peace about the “issue” and an incredible desire to cry out to the Lord on Brayden’s behalf. You know how much I love him and ALL OF YOU…and when you are facing trials …I feel it too. Isn’t it encouraging to know God sees it all, knows it all and is with us through it all. My prayer is that Brayden would feel God’s hand upon him supernaturally as only a 2 1/2 yr old could. I continue to ask God to sustain Brayden through all of his treatments - that his numbers will recover quickly and that he would not suffer. Love to you all & prayers always, julie

    Isaiah 54:10 Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the LORD, who has compassion on you.

  16. Diane Kemp says:

    You guys are amazing! You’ve done so much with what you’re dealing with. Will continue to pray for strength for you 2 and healing for Brayden. I know it sounds crazy, but the time you’re having with Brayden is a once in a lifetime chance to spend so much time with your little one(s). Usually life gets so full, it’s hard to find time to “play”. Enjoy that great connection time as you rest in God’s provision for all of you. We’re with you in Spriit.

    Thanks for the update. Here are today’s verses:
    Exodus 3:7,8a The LORD said, “I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey…”

  29. Sandy Forrest says:

    Hi Drew and Jen,
    It is so neat to follow your journey with Brayden and know what to pray for along the way. The videos are priceless!
    I want to share a miracle healing with you to encourage you but also because I know many believers read your guest book and this is something we know God wants us to share.
    A young woman in our church family is expecting a baby - due about the first week in July. She had an ultrasound on May 27 in which they “saw some problems with the baby” and she was sent to a specialist. Her Mom is a radioolgy tech, saw the films and knew what the problems were — this baby had multiple defects that would probably not allow it live. She began praying and claiming the scriptures God gave her and called our church family to pray. Codi’s appoinment with the specialist was not until Monday afternoon and we prayed through. The ultrasound on Monday shows a complete healing - the brain is now perfectly formed and the leg bones are straight! We are thanking and praising God and awaiting a beautiful birth!
    We are honored and blessed to be able to continue with you in prayer for Brayden and all of you and to share in the miracles along the way! We serve such a faithful and awesome God who justs asks us to have faith and ‘bring it to him.’ 1 Peter 5:7.
    My prayer for you is Colossians 1:11 - that God will give you strength for endurance and that he will fill you with joy, strength and thankfulness.
    In His Love, Sandy

  30. Lyndsey says:

    WE MISS YOU BRAYDEN (and you too, Drew and Jen)! Hope things are going well. Love you guys.

    Proverbs 22:1

    A good name is more desirable than great riches;
    to be esteemed is better than silver or gold.

  32. Sharon Evans says:

    Proverbs 21:2,3,21,23,30,31

    2 All a man’s ways seem right to him,
    but the LORD weighs the heart.

    3 To do what is right and just
    is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

    21 He who pursues righteousness and love
    finds life, prosperity and honor.

    23 He who guards his mouth and his tongue
    keeps himself from calamity..

    30 There is no wisdom, no insight, no plan
    that can succeed against the LORD.

    31 The horse is made ready for the day of battle,
    but victory rests with the LORD.

  33. Lyndsey says:

    Hi Drew, Jen and Brayden!

    Sorry it has been so long. Things were crazy with finals and graduation! But I have been thinking about you all and praying for you. Hope things are going well. We miss you and can’t wait to see you again soon! Love you all!

  34. Sharon Evans says:

    Proverbs 20:1,3,11,18-20,24

    1 Wine is a mocker and beer a brawler;
    whoever is led astray by them is not wise.

    3 It is to a man’s honor to avoid strife,
    but every fool is quick to quarrel.

    11 Even a child is known by his actions,
    by whether his conduct is pure and right.

    18 Make plans by seeking advice;
    if you wage war, obtain guidance.

    19 A gossip betrays a confidence;
    so avoid a man who talks too much.

    20 If a man curses his father or mother,
    his lamp will be snuffed out in pitch darkness.

    24 A man’s steps are directed by the LORD.
    How then can anyone understand his own way?
