Kids Karavan

For children 2yrs-kindergarten.  We love our preschoolers! They are wide-eyed and enthusiastic about learning. That makes for fun for the children on Sunday mornings as well as a rewarding experience for teachers and helpers who work with our preschoolers.

Each Sunday morning schedule (both at 9:00 and 10:30 am sessions) includes a Bible story, creative activity, playground time and snack. Music, videos and puppets are used periodically to further enhance the lesson. There is also plenty of time for children to have free play with their Sunday morning friends in class.

This is a special time for preschoolers. Making new friends, learning  in a playful environment, and being in relationship with teachers who love and comfort them as they begin to discuss God together.

Curriculum

It presents simple Bible truths in a fresh, interactive setting. Each lesson is based on an important Bible story.

Each session (9:00 and 10:30) follows the same Bible lesson, offering a different schedule of activities so the children can stay both sessions and enjoy it all!

Promotion Process

Young children appreciate stability and consistency. So, once assigned to a class that is age appropriate, they remain there until September of each year. There are few exceptions:

Children in our Trekkers room do not promote to the Hikers unless they are potty-trained. The Trekkers room has immediate access to bathroom facilities that make the transition from diapers to potty an easier process!

Children in Travelers (pre-K) may enjoy that room for one or two years. Promotion to Trailblazers happens when a child is actually enrolled in kindergarten at school. This way, children will begin their “school” years with other children who are at the same stage.
