r2: Children’s Ministry

Our Vision:

To invite children to begin to experience the joy of a “Great Adventure” with God! Engaging children to discover God and motivating parents to guide their children in their discovery.

Our Values:

  • every child feels valued
  • experiences that make a meaningful life connection
  • every activity is fun and engaging and appropriate for the child’s age and stage of development
  • leaders and parents are empowered by resources and training to guide children in discovering god

Prayer Box:

Our Children’s Ministry team would like the privilege of praying for our children and their parents. If you have a specific prayer need and would like us to join you in praying for you as parent or for your child please contact Julie Pickering. You can also drop a note in the prayer box located in the entrance to the Expedition Downtown room (located below the Fellowship Hall).

This Week in Children’s Ministry:

  • Summer Adventure

Summer Adventure is our largest outreach to children in our community ages 4 through grade school.  It’s also a great way for volunteers to connect with other RCC people of all ages.  We have space for team leaders, preschool helpers, kitchen workers, decoration team, craft preparation and more. It takes a large group to put on this fantastic week, July 16th-20th from 9 am to noon.  Contact Julie Pickering at juliep@richfieldcc.org to find out how you can be involved in our “Back to the Future Adventure” team.

  • Children’s Ministry This Week

If you are new to our church, we invite your children to join us for the joy of a ‘Great Adventure’ with God. Visit our registration/welcome table in front of the Downtown Room this Sunday (A101- below the Fellowship Hall).

    • Kids Karavan: Trekkers and Hikers are enjoying a unit called “God Made Families”.  Travelers and Trailblazers continue to “travel” with Paul and meet the friends he made on his journeys.
    • Expedition: Children in 1st – 6th grades begin their morning in A101 (the room below the Fellowship Hall).  The current unit “Standing Tall” is about Elijah and Elisha.
    • 5th and 6th graders meet first service with all elementary grades and attend a workshop.  During second service, they meet together as “Route 56” in the Worship building, C302.
